Neeraj Goyat Biography Born on November 11, 1991, Neeraj Goyat isn’t just another name on a boxing record—he’s the kind of athlete who keeps rewriting what’s possible for Indian fighters. He cracked into the WBC world rankings first, picked up the WBC Asia “Honorary Boxer of the Year” title in 2017, and then really shook things up back in 2014 by beating Xu Can in China—no small feat, considering Xu was a former WBA world champion and fighting at home. Right when life seemed ready to pull the plug, a devastating car crash in 2019 nearly erased everything Goyat had built—but quitting was never really on the table.
Neeraj Goyat Biography 2026
Neeraj Goyat feels like one of those rare athletes you can’t help but root for—a fighter from India quietly, stubbornly forcing his way onto the global boxing map. Sharing the undercard at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on a night stacked with names like Mike Tyson and Jake Paul isn’t just another bout; it’s a loud statement about how far he’s come. This is the same boxer who broke barriers by becoming the first Indian to qualify for the 2016 Olympics, picked up the WBC Asia “Honorary Boxer of the Year” tag, and even handed former WBA world champ Xu Can a loss that made the boxing world pause and take notice.
